The Central Connecticut men's basketball team participated in
the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk held at Bushnell Park on
Sunday, Oct. 3. This year marked the fifth straight year that the
Blue Devils have participated in the walk. The players and
coaching staff raised $730 to benefit the Alzheimer's Association,
Connecticut Chapter.
The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk is the national signature
event for the Association and brings together family, friends,
caregivers and concerned community members who all want to make a
difference. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $200
million to help those battling Alzheimer's disease.
Memory Walk is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and
funds for Alzheimer care, support and research - and it calls on
people of all ages to take action in the fight. Year-round, our
participants are leaders in the effort to defeat this devastating
