Men's Hoops Opens With Yale on Saturday

The Central Connecticut men's basketball team opens the 2013-14 season on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in the Annual Connecticut 6 Classic, this season being held at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT.  The Blue Devils will take on Yale in the second game of the tripleheader.

Central is led by unanimous Northeast Conference preseason All-Conference selection Kyle Vinales, a junior, who became the fastest player in school history to reach 1,000 career points last season.  Vinales scored a school-record 649 points last year and also led the team in assists.

Junior captain Malcolm McMillan also returns, he has started 58 of 59 career games with the Blue Devils.  Senior Matt Hunter, one of three Blue Devils, along with Vinales and McMillan, to start every game last season is the leading returning rebounder at 7.7 per game a year ago.

Fans can listen to every game this season live on Fox Sports Radio 1410 in Hartford and ESPN Radio 1300 in New Haven, and online and on your mobile device at
