Men's Basketball Hosts Robert Morris on Thursday

The Central Connecticut men's basketball team opens a four-game homestand when it hosts Robert Morris on Thursday night at Detrick Gymnasium. Tickets can be purchased at CCSUTickets.com or at the box office upon entry. Admission for all CCSU students, faculty and staff is free of charge with a valid Blue Chip card. 

Bruce Biel (play-by-play) and Marc Robbins (analyst) will call the action on News Radio 1410/ESPN Radio 1300. All of the action can also be seen live, for free, on NECFrontRow.com.

Last Time Out
 • The Blue Devils fell at conference foe Wagner, 70-48, on Saturday, January 16.  Central trailed by 10 at the half before hitting 6-of-7 shots to open the second half and get within, 39-35. Wagner responded with a 20-5 spurt over a nearly eight-minute span to pull away.  Senior Brandon Peel led the way for the Blue Devils with 15 points and eight rebounds.  Freshman Jahlil Nails hit three three-pointers on his way to 9 points and classmate Austin Nehls chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds. Corey Henson scored 18 points to lead Wagner, while Michael Carey had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Scouting Robert Morris
 • Robert Morris is coming off a 64-58 win against Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday.  The Colonials have been without leading scorer Rodney Pryor (20.2 PPG) the past two games (concussion). Pryor also leads the team with 7.5 rebounds. Elijah Minnie is the only other Colonial scoring in double-figures at 12.1 ppg.  As a team, Robert Morris shoots 41 percent from the field overall, including 30 percent from the arc.  The Colonials have played 13 games decided by 10 points or less, including all four of their wins.
