GAME NOTES  |  2017-18 NCAA Rules Review Video

TODAY'S GAME • Central Connecticut begins a four-game road swing with a trip to Bryant on Thursday. The game will air on ESPN3 as part of the Northeast Conference TV package. Central took the first meeting between the teams this season with a four-point win on Jan. 13 in New Britain.
SERIES HISTORY • The Blue Devils and Bulldogs are meeting for the 32nd time overall and the for the second time this season. Bryant holds a slim, 16-15, edge in the all-time series, but Central took this season's first meeting, 80-76 on Jan. 13.
A WINNING NOTE • With seven non-conference wins, the Blue Devils won their most non-NEC games since 2010-11 (7) and already have their most overall victories since 2013-14 (11). CCSU is among the nation's leaders with a +5 win improvement thus far and with Saturday's win over LIU, it has already matched last season's NEC win total (4). Central won its first four games at Detrick Gym and has gone 7-1 at home, matching its best home start since 2011-12. CCSU has had three win streaks of three or more games. Its five-game win streak from Nov. 17-Dec. 2 was its longest since Nov. 19-Dec. 3, 2011 (5). Prior to that streak, Central hadn't won consecutive games since Feb. 19-21, 2015, a span of 63 games.
NO PLACE LIKE HOME •  Central Connecticut won its first four home games of the year and improved to 7-1 at Detrick Gymnasium with its win over LIU Brooklyn to match its best home start since the 2011-12 season. The Blue Devils' win percentage at home (.875) trails only Wagner (10-0) among Northeast Conference schools. Central and St. Francis Brooklyn trail only Wagner in total home wins. With four home games to remaining, Central could post its most home wins in a season since 2011-12 (10-3) and 2010-11 (12-2).

UP NEXT • CCSU next travels to LIU Brooklyn on Saturday, before heading to Wagner (Feb. 1) and Sacred Heart (Feb. 3). The Blue Devils return home on Feb. 8 vs. Mount St. Mary's.
