Men's Basketball Travels to LIU Brooklyn Thursday
Central Connecticut plays its final regular-season road game when it travels to LIU Brooklyn on Thursday. The 7:00 p.m. contest will be available on NEC Front Row. The Blackbirds won the first contest and are currently tied for 7th, two games up on the Blue Devils (t-9th). LIU took the first meeting, 84-71, on Jan. 26 in New Britain.
 
Thursday's game will be stream live on NEC Front Row. Pat Boyle will have play-by-play calling the game's action.

SERIES HISTORY • LIU Brooklyn leads the all-time series, 24-21...The Blackbirds have won the past two meetings, including an 84-71 win at CCSU on Jan. 26, 2019...LIU won last year's meeting in Brooklyn in overtime, 94-89. 
 
WITH A CCSU WIN TODAY... • Central Connecticut would improve to 12-18 overall, 6-11 in the NEC, 6-11 on the road...Central would split the season series with LIU Brooklyn for the 3rd straight year...The Blue Devils would snap a 4-game losing streak on the season.
 
NOTES FROM THE SACRED HEART GAME • The Blue Devils fell to Sacred Heart, 80-66, on Saturday at Detrick Gymnasium...Junior Jamir Coleman posted his fourth 20-point game of the year with a game-high 22 points...He added seven rebounds...Sophomore Kashaun Hicks grabbed a career-high nine rebounds to go along with 12 points...Central raced out to a 14-0 lead in the opening 3:40 of the game...Freshman Ian Krishnan scored 15 points...The Blue Devils went 13-of-15 (.867) at the free throw line and are now shooting 78.1 percentat the line as a team, which leads the NEC and is fourth nationally. The Blue Devils have a good chance to set the all-time NEC mark, currently held by Wagner (.772, 2010-11).
 
UP NEXT • Central will close out the regular season at home on Saturday against Fairleigh Dickinson at 1:00 p.m. CCSU will recognize the final home game for its team members on Senior Day
