Sean McCurdy begins his second season on the staff of the
Central Connecticut men’s basketball program in 2012-13.
In his role as the Director of Basketball Operations McCurdy is
directly responsible for scheduling, coordinating practices as well
as directing and organizing the Howie Dickenman Basketball
School. He also coordinates team travel, manages the budget
and is in charge of film exchange.
Prior to coming to CCSU last season McCurdy spent one season as a
graduate assistant on the staff at Texas Tech under Pat
Knight. He was responsible for player development and
off-season workouts. He also handle the film exchange
duties.
McCurdy is a 2010 graduate of William and Mary where he starred at
guard for two seasons. He was a two-time team captain and a
two-year starter. He led the team to its best record in 60
years, finishing 22-11 and making a visit to the NIT
Tournament. Prior to his time at William and Mary he spent
two seasons at Arkansas. He was a standout player at St.
Anthony’s High School in Jersey City, NY, where he was a team
captain and played for Hall of Fame coach Bob Hurley.
McCurdy and his wife, Toni, live in Newington, CT.
