Sophomore Greg Beloin posted a second round score of 71 to finish the Dartmouth Invitational at two under par (140) and place third. The Central Connecticut State University men's golf team took fifth place out of 13 teams in competition, scoring 596 in the two-round tournament at the Hanover Country Club this weekend. The host Big Green won the team championship, shooting 579 for the weekend.
Beloin carded a two under par 69 on Saturday and followed it up with an even par 71 today to finish with his 140 third place finish. Sophomore Kevin Josephson tied for 19th in the tournament, as he shot four over par 75s in both rounds of the tournament. Juniors Eric Hawerchuk and Sam Pellietier tied for 38th and 46th, respectively. Hawerchuk shot an 81 on Sunday, following a two over par 73 on Saturday to finish at 154 for the tournament. Pelletier carded a 158 over the weekend, shooting 78 in round one and 80 in round two.
The Blue Devils will next compete in the MacDonald Cup at the Yale Golf Course on October 3 and 4.
