stands in third place after two rounds at the Adam Cup of Newport
held in Middletown, RI. The Blue Devils shot a two-round total of
598 to sit in third place behind Central Florida and the University
of West Florida. There are 17 teams in the tournament, and it
finishes with the 18-hole final round on Tuesday.
Josephson, fresh off his first collegiate victory last week at the
CCSU Fall Invitational, shot a 72 in both of the first round on
Monday to tie for second place. Teammate Eric
Hawerchuk shot 76-73 (149) and is tied for 13th place
overall.
Central Florida leads the tournament with a two-round total of 581,
nine shots better than West Florida. The Blue Devils shot 300-298
and sit 17 shots behind the leaders in third place. UConn (599)
and Rhode Island (603) round out the top five.
Daniel
Morgan is tied for 24th place (75-77), while Sam
Pelletier (77-79) and Justin
Hughes (82-76) round out the scoring for the Blue Devils.
The Adams Cup is a 54-hole tournament and is being contested at
Newport National G.C. (par 72 - 7244 yards). The 17-team field (88
golfers) will complete play with Tuesday's 18-hole final round.
