Josephson in Second, Men's Golf Tied for Eighth at Macdonald Cup at Yale

shot a day-one round of 67 and sits in second place at the Macdonald Cup at Yale University on Saturday. As a team the Blue Devils sit in a tie for eighth place with a day one score of 295, 15 shots behind round one leader St. John's. The tournament will end with 18 more holes on Sunday at Yale.

Josephson's 67 puts him three shots behind tournament leader Jeremy Quinn of St. John's who shot an impressive 64 (-6) on the first day of action. St. John's has four of the top five individuals in the event, and at 280 is four shots ahead of Sacred Heart (284).

Freshman Daniel Morgan sits in a tie for eighth place after a even par 70 in the first round. Justin Hughes shot a 74 (+4) and Dan Fanion and Greg Beloin each shot a 77 (+7) to round out the scoring Eric Hawerchuk fired an 80 and is tied for 63rd.

The tournament will conclude with a final 18 holes on Sunday at the Yale Golf Course. The par 70 course measures at 6,766 yards.
