Central Connecticut junior Kevin Josephson was named Northeast Conference Golfer of the Week for the second time this season on Wednesday afternoon. Josephson was the individual winner at the Macdonald Cup of Yale University this past weekend, the Blue Devils finished fourth. It was Josephson's second victory of the season.
Josephson trailed the leader by three strokes after posting a first round 67. In the second round Josephson posted another sub-par score a 69, his 136 total for the event was four strokes under par. The junior was the only player in the field to shoot under-par for both rounds of the tournament.
In the Blue Devils last three matches Josephson has finished first, second, and first. He has also run off an impressive streak of six consecutive rounds under-par. Josephson's other NEC Golfer of the Week Award came after his first victory of the season at the CCSU Blue Devil Invitational, he shot a 141 over the two rounds of that event.
The Blue Devils will return to action Monday, at the University of Connecticut Tournament.
