The Central Connecticut men's golf team finished round two of the Mission Inn Spring Fling on Saturday. The Blue Devils finished the round in ninth place with a total score of 621 strokes. Central is one of 13 teams in the field this weekend on the par-72 Las Colinas course.
Sophomore Dan Fanion is the Blue Devils leader after two rounds. Fanion followed up his first round +4 with a +6 in the second rounf he has posted a two round score of 154 strokes.
Three Blue Devils posted +4 second rounds, freshman Daniel Morgan, seniors Justin Hughes and Eric Hawerchuk. Junior Kevin Josephson shot a +16 in the second round to finish up the Blue Devils round.
Josephson has shot a 166 over the two rounds, Hughes has shot a 159, Morgan a 157, and Hawerchuk a 156.
Stetson is currently in first place with a team score of 592. IPFW is in second, Appalachian State, Western Kentucky, and Laval University round out the top-five. The Blue Devils are only one stroke out of eighth place, behind Bethune-Cookman.
