Men's Golf Tied for Fourth After Day Two at NEC Championships

The Central Connecticut men's golf team shot a day two score of 311 and sits in a tie for fourth place out of nine teams after the second round of the 2017 Northeast Conference men's golf championships in Daytona Beach, FL on Saturday.  The tournament is being held at the LPGA International Hills Course.  

Junior Brandon Raine continued to pace the Blue Devils shooting a second round score of 77 and sitting in a tie for seventh place overall with a two-day total of 150.

Freshman Drew Aitken shot a 76 on day two and he sits in a tie for 10th place with a total of 151. 

Senior Nick Direda shot the best round of the day for the Blue Devils, carding a 75 to move into a tie for 23rd place overall.  Direda improved seven strokes off his day one score and has a total of 157 after Saturday.

Freshman Arthur Ouimet shot an 83 on Saturday and is in 33rd place with a score of 161.

Senior Matthew Mahlke shot an 84 on Saturday and is tied for 38th place overall.

Bryant leads the field with a two-day score of 593.  Robert Morris (608) is second, followed by Fairleigh Dickinson (611) while CCSU and St. Francis U (619) round out the top five.
