Pair of Weekly Honors For Hermann Trophy Nominee Yan Klukowski

Senior captain Yan Klukowski was named the NEC Player of the Week for the first time since his freshman season and received College Soccer News National Team of the Week honors for his outstanding play over the past week. The midfielder recorded his first career hat trick against St. Bonaventure on Friday and the Blue Devils are 2-0 to start the season.

After leading the NEC in assists the past two years, Klukowski's goal scoring has taken the upper hand in 2008, as he already has half the amount of goals he put forth last season (6 goals). College Soccer News makes up an 11 man team each week, of the top performers from around the country. This marks the first appearance for Klukowski on the prestigious all-star team.

After winning the NEC and making a run to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament a year ago, the Blue Devils are now 10-1-1 in their last 12 games, dating back to October of last season. CCSU moved up to Number 22 on Soccer America's National Poll and was receiving votes in the College Soccer News Top 30 Poll.

The Blue Devils will continue their winning streak on the road tomorrow night against Hartford at 7 p.m.
