Central Connecticut seniors Eddie Floyd and Raphael Guimaraes have been selected to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League Senior All-Star Game. Floyd and Guimaraes will join players from all NCAA Divisions to play the all-star game at Clark University in Worcester, MA. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m.
"We are extremely proud of their selection to the All Star Game," head coach Shaun Green said on Monday. "Both Eddie and Raphael have been outstanding players for us and they are very deserving of this honor."
Floyd was a three-year starter as a member of the Blue Devils' men's soccer team. He recorded three goals and five assists as a midfielder and defender during his four seasons. Floyd took a leadership role during his senior season, being named captain.
Guimaraes transferred to Central Connecticut for his junior campaign and was a spark from the get go. The forward battled injuries throughout his two seasons in New Britain, but managed to tally five goals as a Blue Devil.
