Men's Soccer Drops 4-2 Decision on the Road at Stony Brook on Friday

Buchanan each scored for the Blue Devils. Central is now 2-3
overall on the season, and will open its home season on Wednesday
night at 7 p.m. against Siena. The game will be played at Willow
Stony Brook took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute on a goal from Raphael Abreu. Buchanan's goal tied the game in the 34th minute, it was his first marker of the season. The Seawolves took a 2-1 lead into halftime when Berian Gobeil scored in the 42nd minute.
The lead for the home team reached 3-1 in the first minute of the second half. Wilber Bonilla's goal was scored in the 46th minute. Cavener scored his first goal of the season to make it 3-2 in the 62nd minute.
Stony Brook scored its fourth and final goal on a penalty kick in the 71st minute, giving them a two goal cushion in the final 20 minutes.
The Seawolves held a 16-13 advantage in shots in the game. Central keeper Anthony Occhialini made four saves in net for the Blue Devils in the loss.
The Blue Devils return to action on Wednesday night in their home opener vs. Siena. The game will be played at 7 p.m. at Willow Brook Park in New Britain. Admission is free, and live stats will be available on CCSUBlueDevils.com.
