The Central Connecticut State University men's soccer team
traveled to Long Island University on Friday and came away with a
1-0 win. The win is the first in conference action for Central
this season, and improves their overall record to 4-9-2. They are

Smith scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils in the win. Anthony

Smith's goal was his first of the season, and it came in the first half. He took a pass from teammate Richie Slaughter and scored from the top of the box. The goal helped snapped a seven-game winless streak for Central.
Occhialini's four stops helped him earn his fourth shutout of the season.
The Blue Devils held a large 15-8 advantage in shots, including an 8-4 edge in shots on goal.
