Freshman Aaron Radden won the 200 meter dash as the Central Connecticut State University men's track and field team competed in the first day of the Yale Giegengack Invitational on Friday. Radden finished in 22.20 seconds to place first in the 200 meters. the Blue Devils will continue competition on Saturday.
Sophomore Rashad Williams placed 11th in the weight throw, recording a distance of 48 feet and 4.5 inches. The only other Blue Devils to compete in the first day of competition were on the Distance Medley Team. The CCSU squad of sophomores Jeremy Schmid and Dan Watson, junior Shawn Buchanan and freshman Mohamed Hrezi broke the Central Connecticut school record by 10 seconds, placing 10th with a time of 10:16.10.
