Freshman Aaron Radden was named Roadrunner Sports/Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, and earned Track Athlete of the Week accolades for the first time in his career for his performance at the Rider-Lafayette Winter Games this weekend. Radden broke school records in both the 200 and 60 meter dashes.
The first year Blue Devil won the 200 meters at the meet, recording a time of 21.67 seconds. It broke his own school record of 22.03 seconds which he set earlier this year. The time is the best so far this season in the NEC and qualified him for the IC4A Championships. Radden also placed second in the 60 meters, while breaking the CCSU record in the fairly new event. His time of 6.97 seconds is the third fastest in the NEC to date.
