Men's Track Competes at Terrier Invite

The Central Connecticut men's track & field team competed in the Boston University Terrier invitational this Saturday, January 28th.  There were no team results as the event went unscored.

Junior Aaron Radden placed second in the 200m with a time of 21.32.  He also came in 11th place in the 60m crossing the line at 6.96.  The 5,000m was headlined by senior Sam Alexander (14:26.02) and junior Craig Hunt (14:31.13) who finished 11th and 15th respectively.  Both runners broke the previous CCSU school record for the 5,000m (14:34.27) set by Alexander last season.

In the field for the Blue Devils, senior Rashad Williams threw the shot 16.27m, good for fourth place.  Williams also chalked-up an eighth place finish in the weight throw (16.14m).  Both distances are CCSU school records.  Unattached from team competition was Central assistant coach Paul Waszczak who won the pole vault with a height of 4.70m.

Central will be back in action on February 3rd and 4th at the Yale Giegengack Invitational in New Haven, CT.
