Track Heads to IC4A/ECAC Championships

The Central Connecticut indoor track and field teams will travel to Boston University on March 2-4 to compete at the 2018 IC4A/ECAC Championships inside of the BU Track and Tennis Center.

IC4A/ECAC CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

Junior McKenna Kilian will be the sole competitor for the women's team. Kilian will take part in the pentathlon at 2:30 p.m. The junior ranks 24th on the ECAC performance list with her program record score of 3,483 points set at the 2018 NEICAAA Indoor Championships.

In the 60 meter and 200 meter dash, junior Akiel Smith will compete for the men's team. Smith ranks 51st with a time of 6.88 seconds in the 60m and 52nd with a mark of 21.77 seconds in the 200m. The 60 meter dash semi final is scheduled for Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and the finals will be on Sunday at 12:05 p.m.

Smith will run in the 200 meter trials on Saturday at 12:05 p.m. and the finals will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Freshman Jonathan Gill will participate in the 800 meter run with a 55th ranking and a time of 1:52.14. The 800 meter trials will begin on Saturday at 11:35 a.m. and the finals will be run on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

The Central Connecticut indoor pole vault school record holder (4.95m) and 18th ranked senior Sam Borecki will compete in the pole vault on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
