The Central Connecticut Men's cross country team finished 16th at the NCAA New England Championships on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devil women's team finished 27th at the same meet. The top Blue Devil man was sophomore Craig Hunt who finished 32nd and the women were led by a 116th finish from senior Katherine Bossardet.
The men's team finished with a team score of 403. Hunt led the way with a time of 30:53.8 good for 32nd place. Junior Sam Alexander was the next Blue Devil at 31:11.7 good for 41st. Senior Ry Sanderson finshed 86th after a time of 31:56.4. Anthony Gonsalves and Mohamed Hrezi finished up the scoring for the Blue Devils with times of 32:26.3 and 32:39.1, respectively.
On the women' side Bossardet led the Blue Devils with a time of 22:24.4. Freshman Elizabeth Eberhardt was next to cross for the Blue Devils finishing in 153rd in a time of 23:04.2. Amanda Assaro, Nicloe Coituex and Krisztina Dearborn rounded out the scoring for the Blue Devils with times of 23:42.9, 23:53.9, and 24:05.8, respectively.
Syracuse University won both men's and women's team championships.
