Men's XC Looks to Defend NEC Title Saturday

The Central Connecticut men's cross country team looks to defend its NEC Championship title Saturday at the 2013 Northeast Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by Saint Francis U in Loretto, PA. The men's race is set to begin at 11 a.m.

The race will be broadcast live, for free, at NECFrontRow.com. CLICK HERE to watch live!

Last season, the Blue Devils grabbed their fourth-consecutive win and senior Colby Delbene crossed the finish line first, earning the NEC Individual Champion title. Delbene returns to the field this year along with three-time 2013 NEC Athlete of the Week Craig Hunt.

Hunt has earned two first-place finishes this season including topping the field at the Father Bede Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis U, on Sept. 28. The Blue Devils earned the victory in the meet, which took place on the same course as Saturday's championship race.

Central has had an impressive season thus far, earning the New England Championship title for the first time in CCSU history. Also, as of Oct. 21, the Blue Devils are ranked eighth in the Northeast Region. The meet will be broadcast live, for free, on www.NECFrontRow.com
