Live Coverage of Softball's NCAA Selection

The Central Connecticut softball team claimed its first Northeast Conference Tournament Championship on Saturday afternoon and the automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament that comes with being conference champion.

The 2013 NCAA Softball Tournament field will be revealed live on ESPNU at 10 p.m. on Sunday night.  The Blue Devils know their name will be called on Sunday, but the excitement will be in finding out the regional site and the opponent they will be assigned.

Fans can visit for live coverage of CCSU's selection show through a special broadcast.  Coverage on will begin at 9:30 p.m. as head coach Jeff Franquet and members of the Blue Devils will sit down to discuss championship weekend and the upcoming NCAA Tournament.  Following the live interviews, coverage will switch over to the team waiting to see where they land. The 2013 Central Connecticut softball team is the first in program history to win the NEC Tournament Championship and make an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.  The team was also the first to win a share of the NEC Regular Season Title.  For the third consecutive season the Blue Devils broke the program's single-season record for wins, with the record currently extended to 35.  With a 35-13 record, CCSU current winning percentage of .729, would also be a new program record.
