The Central Connecticut women's basketball team fell to the University of Hartford on Monday night in Detrick Gymnasium by a score of 75-63. The Blue Devils (1-1) tied the game shortly after halftime, but a late run by the Hawks (2-0) broke the game open midway through the period.

The Hawks ked 37-29 at the break, but the Blue Devils opened the second half with an 8-0 run that tied the game. Unfortunately for the Blue Devils, Hartford answered with seven straight points to reclaim the lead.

A 19-4 run by the Hawks between the 11:26 and 5:03 marks of the half gave Hartford a 65-46 lead. CCSU would cut the Hawk lead to 10 points in the final minute of the game, but the Blue Devils were unable to get within single-digits.

Hartford's Amber Bepko led all players with 20 points.

The Blue Devils were led by 13 from junior Kayla Miller and 13 from sophomore Aleah Epps.  Freshman Camden Musgrave and junior Nicole Ferguson each scored nine points in the game.
