The Central Connecticut women's basketball team held Bryant to 33.3 percent shooting from the floor and hit seven three pointers on the way to a 70-59 home victory over the Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.  With the win the Blue Devils improve to 8-8 overall and 4-1 in Northeast Conference play.  Bryant is now 11-5 overall and 4-1 after picking up their first conference loss.

Four Blue Devils scored in double-figures including freshman Camden Musgrave who posted a career-high with 18 points, including four threes.  She was 6-of-10 from the field and added two steals.  Senior Amanda Harrington and junior TeJahne Malone each had a double-double in the victory.  Harrington had 10 points to go along with 11 boards.  Malone had 13 points and 10 rebounds, including six on the offensive end of the floor.

The Blue Devils led by as many as 12 in the first half but by just four at halftime, 31-27.  Bryant shot just 9-of-32 from the field in the first half as the Blue Devils held onto the four point edge.

In the second half the Bulldogs took their first lead of the game and then led by three, 44-41, with 12:19 left in the second half.  Central responded, however, with an 11-0 run over the next three minutes to build a 52-44 lead.  Bryant rallied with a run of their own, cutting the lead to 54-53 with a 9-2 run that took four minutes.

Central answered again, with another 11-2 run, to seal the victory and hand the Bulldogs their first conference loss of the season.

Central held a 30-22 edge in points in the paint, and got 29 points off its bench, including 18 from Musgrave.  They were 11-of-12 from the free-throw line in the win and posted 14 assists and only 12 turnovers.  Five players had at least two assists in the win.
