Women's Basketball Embarks on Three-Game Road Series

The Central Connecticut women's basketball team travels to Loretto, PA to take on the Saint Francis Red Flash on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 2:00 p.m. inside of Degol Arena. The Red Flash are on a two-game winning streak after suffering a 63-62 loss to the league-leading Robert Morris Colonials who the Blue Devils will face on Monday night.

Last Time Out • CCSU was unable to hold in the fourth quarter of Monday night's contest against LIU Brooklyn, falling 61-54. The Blue Devils were lead by junior Kiana Patterson who scored 14 points and dished out a career-high nine assists, seven of which came in the first half.
Most Recently for SFU • The won a nail-biter in Staten Island, NY on Monday night, topping the Wagner Seahawks 79-76. Junior Jessica Kovatch, the NEC leading-scorer (23.9 ppg) recorded her fifth 30+ point performance with 32 points and added four steals to lead SFU. The Red Flash were out-rebounded 42-33.
CCSU in the NEC • Through six NEC contests, the Blue Devils rank first in the league in three-point field goal defense, holding teams to a mere 28.4 percent on average. Junior Andi Lydon sits at the top of the individual free-throw percentage standings, connecting on 82.7 percent (43-52) on the season.
Series History • SFU holds a 28-12 advantage in the all-time series with CCSU. The Red Flash swept the Blue Devils 2-0 during the last regular season, but Central got revenge in the NEC quarterfinal game at Degol Arena last defeating SFU 65-57.
