The Central Connecticut State University women's golf team finished the first round at the Dartmouth Invitational in 11th place out of 20 teams in competition. The Blue Devils were led by freshman Stephanie Bednar's score of 80 (41-39) on the par 72 course on Saturday. CCSU recorded a score of 332, one point behind Holy Cross and one ahead of Hofstra.
Bednar is currently in a tie for 24th and fellow freshman Katie Reid is one stroke behind her, shooting 81 (45-36) and is tied for 27th after one round of play. Freshman Anna Ausanio, senior Natalie Jones and junior Chelsea Woods rounded out the Blue Devils five competitors. Ausanio is in 56th, shooting 84 on Saturday, while Jones and Woods recorded scores of 87 and 92, respectively.
Towson is currently leading the way with a score of 311, while three players shot 75 to lead all golfers on the day. CCSU will finish competition tomorrow in Hanover, NH.
