Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at Sacred Heart Invitational

The Central Connecticut women's golf team finished fifth at the Sacred Heart Invitational. The Blue Devils combined for 659 strokes over the course of the tournament. Sophomore Katie Reid led Central with a score of 159.

Reid shot a first round 82 before coming back to post a second round 77, finishing in ninth place. Fellow sophomore Anna Ausanio finished tied for 13th with a two round score of 161. Stephanie Bednar, also a sophomore, finished tied for 24th after shooting rounds of 82 and 84.

Freshman Elisabeth Beloin recovered from a first round 91 by shooting an 82 in the second round earning her a share of 36th. Senior Chelsea Woods finished in a tie for 46th after shooting a 180 for the tournament.

The Blue Devils have now concluded their schedule, but they will return to action in the Spring.
