The Central Connecticut women's golf team finished day two of the Northeast Conference Championship in ninth place. The Blue Devils posted a team score of 345 strokes in the first round and followed that with a 349 stroke performance in round two. They finished the day at 118-over-par as a team on the 6,065 yard par-72 course at the LPGA International Course in Dayton, FL. Sophomore Anna Ausanio led the Blue Devils with a first round 81 and a second round 78.
Ausanio posted an opening round 81 and then went even lower on day two carding the 78. She is currently tied for seventh in the individual standings. Sophomore Katie Reid is currently tied for 32nd with 175 strokes. She posted an 82 on day one and followed that with a 93 today.
Freshman Elisabeth Beloin continued to play well she shot a 88 to follow up her opening round 91. She sits in a tie for 36th place after two rounds. Tied for 40th is freshman Gina Grant. After an opening round 92 she rebounded to shoot a 90 on day two.
Senior Chelsea Woods is the final Blue Devil she sits in 50th on the individual list with 197 strokes over the first two rounds.
The Blue Devils have posted a team score of 694 over two rounds. The current leader remains Fairleigh Dickinson. The Knights have a two day score of 622 strokes.
The NEC Championships will continue tomorrow with holes 37-54 of the 54 hole tournament. Play will resume at 8 am.
