The Central Connecticut women's golf team finished in fifth place after the second and final day of the ECAC Championships being played at Twisted Dune Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Junior Katie Reid finished fifth overall in the championship, shooting a day-two score of 75, including a one-under 35 on the final nine holes.
Reid's 75 was the fourth-best overall score of the entire second round, and the best individual score for CCSU in the two rounds. She shot a 78 on the first day and a 153 for the two-day tournament.
As a team the Blue Devils shot a two-day total of 657, including a 326 on the second day. Dartmouth won the team title, followed by Sacred Heart, Hofstra, Hartford and then CCSU.
Junior Anna Ausanio tied for 14th overall, shooting a 76 on the second day, a seven-shot improvement from her day-one 83. Classmate Stephanie Bednar tied for 22nd with an 82-83.
Sophomores Elisabeth Beloin (88-92) and Gina Grant (92-93) rounded out the scoring for the Blue Devils.
The fifth place finish for the Blue Devils put them ahead of Northeast Conference teams St. Francis (NY), Quinnipiac, Wagner, Mount St. Mary's and Fairleigh Dickinson.
