Rising women's golf sophomore Ella Williams finished in a tie for 15th place in the Canadian Junior Girls Championships last weekend. Williams shot four rounds in the 70's and finished tied for 15th in a field that had over 140 competitors.
"I'm tremendously proud of Ella for her performance last weekend," head coach Carly Ludwig said. "She finished two under par in the last five holes, including an eagle on the 15th hole. She really played well and I'm very excited for her and the team to get back to campus and begin our fall season."
The tournament took place July 29th through August 1st. There was a 36-hole cut which cut the field in half to 70 players.
Williams shot 78-78-76-76 on the par-72 course. The event was played at the Thornhill Golf and Country Club in Thornhill, Onatrio.
