Women's Golf Concludes First Round at Navy Fall Invitational

The Central Connecticut women's golf team concluded first round play in 10th among the 16-team field at the Navy Fall Invitational at the Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis, MD. Freshman Kristya Abrahamova led the Blue Devils individually on day one.

FIRST ROUND RESULTS

Abrahamova fired a 78 and is tied for 19th after the first day. Junior Cecy Gutierrez shot a 78 and is just a stroke behind tied for 24th on the individual leaderboard.

Senior Kaitlyn Stoddart was tied for 38th after shooting an 81, while freshman Emma Heim (84) and senior Ella Williams (85) rounded out the Blue Devils' scores.

Central shot a 322 as a team on the opening day to rank 10th in the 16-team field. Harvard led the field after shooting 304.

The second and final round tees off at 9:00 a.m. Sunday on the 6,085 yard, par-72 course.
