The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team will visit La Salle on Saturday morning with the game scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.  The Blue Devils enter Saturday's game with a 1-4 record, while the Explorers are 6-1 on the season.

CCSU senior Betsy Vendel enters the game with 183 career points and is one shy of tying Tracey Uellendahl's school record of 184 career points.  Uellendahl is CCSU's all-time leader in points (184), goals (150) and is fourth in assists (34).  Vendel is currently second in points (183), fourth in goals (97) and is the programs all-time leader in assists (86) and draw controls (142).

Following Saturday's game with La Salle the Blue Devils will play at Manhattan College on Tuesday, March 19.

Then CCSU will open up the 2013 Northeast Conference slate with a trip to Saint Francis U and Robert Morris on March 22 and 24.

Here are some notes on the Blue Devils heading into today's action:

The CCSU defense is led by senior Ali Roche who has been terrific this season with 13 caused turnovers and 14 ground balls.  Roche is the Blue Devils career leader with 72 caused turnovers.

Senior Mackenzy Ryan is also climbing the program's career points list.  Ryan entered the year seventh on the list and is now just five points shy of the fifth spot.

Vendel (97) and Ryan (92) are also on track to become the fourth and fifth members of CCSU's 100 goal club this season.  Classmate Meaghan McCurry already joined the club earlier this season.
