Junior Beth Lloyd was named the
adidas/Northeast Conference women's soccer player of the week, it
was announced on Monday by the conference office. Lloyd and the
Blue Devils went 2-1 last week with a pair of NEC road victories
over Sacred Heart on Friday and Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday.
Lloyd is currently second on the team with six goals on the year.
The Blue Devils return to action on Friday at 3 p.m. hosting
Lloyd has exploded in the last six games to help lead the Blue Devils to a 4-0 mark in Northeast Conference play. She capped off her week by scoring both goals in a 2-1 overtime victory on Sunday at Fairleigh Dickinson. Her second goal on Sunday came just 22 seconds into overtime and capped her first multi-goal game of the season.
She scored a goal in a 4-2 win over Sacred Heart on Friday night. She also posted a goal in a 3-2 loss at Yale on Monday night. She has scored six goals in the last six games and is second on the team with 14 points this season, including six goals.
