The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team competed in the first day of competition at the Terrier Invitational at Boston University on Friday. Freshman Alex Czaplicki took second place in the 200 IM setting a new school and freshman record of 2:06.50. Senior captain Erin Crowley won the 500 freestyle in a time of 4:56.69, while sophomore Megan McGorry placed third, touching in at 5:01.19. The Blue Devils are in sixth place out of nine teams with a point total of 123. The host Terriers are currently first with 266 points.
CCSU will continue competition tomorrow and finish swimming at the Invitational on Sunday.
