The Central Connecticut women's track team finished 10th at the 2011 Northeast Conference Track and Field Championships. The Blue Devils earned 17 points behind top-five finishes from a pair of runners and a relay team.
Junior Amanda Asaro finished third in the one mile earning the Blue Devils six point. She finished with a finals time of 5:09.45.
In the 5,000 meters, senior Katherine Bossardet finished fourth with a time of 18:20.10. Her fourth place finish earned five points for Central.
The Blue Devils final six points came in the distance medley relay where the team o Asaro, junior Kate McGuire, freshman Megan MacBryde, and freshman Elizabeth Eberhardt combined for a time of 12:27.36. Their time earned a third place finish, and set a new school record for the event.
The Blue Devils return to action on Feb. 25, at the New England Championships.
