Women's Track Finishes Fifth at Holy Cross

The Central Connecticut women's track team competed at Holy Cross on Saturday the Blue Devils were led by an impressive performance in the 1500 meters by junior Amanda Asaro. The Blue Devils finished fifth at the meet.

Asaro ran a 4:42.78 in the 1500 meters to win the event on Saturday. Her mark fell just short of matching the school record for the event.

Other strong performers for the Blue Devils were freshman Meghan Burns who ran a 56.84 to finish third in the 400 meters. Sophomore Nablissa Lomotey took third in the javelin with a 31.74 meter throw.

The Blue Devils finished in fifth place as a team, while accumulating 46 points.
