The Central Connecticut women's track team competed in its final tune-up before the NEC Championships on Sunday. The Blue Devils had several good performances at the non-team scoring meet at Yale. Junior Amy Sanjurjo finished fifth in the long jump.
Sanjurjo finished fifth in the long jump with a best mark of 5.38 meters. Freshman Jess Davis finished ninth in the pole vault by clearing 2.80 meters.
On the track the Blue Devils had a pair of solid performances in the 400 meter event. Freshman Shavonne Dash finished seventh with a 1:00.49 in the event. Right behind Dash, sophomore Rachel Dombroski and junior Kate McGuire finished 10th and 11th in the same event. Dombroski finished in 1:01.80 and McGuire in 1:02.61 to earn their places.
The Blue Devils return to action this weekend at the Northeast Conference Championships.
