The Central Connecticut women's track team finished day one of the Northeast Conference Outdoor Track Championships in ninth place. The Blue Devils earned eight team points, led by their 4 X 800 meter relay team that finished fourth.
The Blue Devil team of freshman Elizabeth Eberhardt, freshman Megan MacBryde, senior Katherine Bossardet and junior Amanda Asaro earned their fourth place finish with a 9:26.23 performance.
Asaro also qualified for the final of the 1500 meter. She posted the best qualifying time of the day, a 4:45.02 performance.
Earning the Blue Devils other three points on Saturday was freshman Krisztina Dearborn who ran the 10,000 meter in 39:07.98.
Freshman Megan Burns ran a 58.66 in the 400 meter to qualify for her first NEC Outdoor final.
The Northeast Conference Championships will continue tomorrow as more individual champions will be crowned along with the 2011 NEC Outdoor Track Champion.
