Senior captain Jamie Baumert tallied 10 kills on .526 hitting percentage to lead Central Connecticut State University to a 3-0 (25-10, 25-17, 25-17) road win over Bryant University Friday night. Junior captain Amanda Bayer added 27 assists and 12 digs in the victory as the Blue Devils improved to 8-8 overall and 3-0 in the Northeast Conference play.
Baumert's 10 kills led CCSU on offense, while freshman Emily Cochran and junior Tori Vaughan chipped in with nine and eight kills, respectively. Baumert and Vaughan also led the Blue Devils in blocks, as the senior totaled four and the junior finished with three in the match.

Central is now 8-8 on the season with an undefeated 3-0 record in the NEC. The Blue Devils will next stay on the road as they take on Columbia on Wednesday October 7 at 7:00 p.m.
