The Central Connecticut volleyball team will enter the 2011 Northeast Conference Tournament as the #3 seed after finishing the regular season with an 11-5 record in conference play. The Blue Devils, 20-10 overall on the season, will play #2 seed and NEC Co-Regular Season Champion Sacred Heart (25-7, 14-2 NEC) in the semifinal round on Saturday. It is the ninth consecutive season the Blue Devils have reached the NEC Tournament.
The tournament will be hosted by the other co-champion, Long Island. All of the tournament games will be played on the LIU campus at the Fitness and Wellness Center. Game times are still being determined, but the Central-Sacred Heart game will follow the #1 Blackbirds game against #4 Robert Morris.
Both semifinal matches will be played on November 19, with the championship game to be played the following day. The tournament is single elimination. Both rounds will be streamed live free of charge on NortheastConference.tv.
