Central Connecticut volleyball senior Jamie Rademacher and freshman Makenna Lommoriearned weekly honors from the Northeast Conference for their performances over the weekend. Rademacher earned NEC Player of the Week accolades and Lommori was named NEC Rookie of the Week. The duo helped their team to a 2-1 finish at the UNH Holy Young Invitational.
Rademacher had a .415 hitting percentage in 15 sets this weekend. She hit above .300 in all three matches, including .520 against William & Mary, .371 vs. New Hampshire, and .364 vs. Holy Cross. She recorded 2.80 kills per set and .60 blocks per set, and was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.
Lommori averaged 9.53 assists per set over three five-set matches last weekend. The freshman also posted a .400 hitting average with 13 kills on 25 attempts on the weekend. Lommori also contributed 2.33 digs per set and 35 total, as well as five service aces, and six blocks.
On the season, Rademacher is hitting .355 with 79 kills and just 19 attack errors in 40 sets played. Lommori has served as CCSU's primary setter and has totaled 291 assists and a 7.28 assist/set average.
The Blue Devils will return to the court on Friday at the Temple Invitational. They will also play a pair of matches at the tournament on Saturday.
