Bio
Arciero enjoyed a decorated career as an undergraduate and went on to great success as a coach and a playing career on the professional circuit. With the Blue Devils, Arciero served as team captain all four seasons and represented the program in the NCAA Tournament and helped the team to winning records. He played #1 singles and doubles all four years at CCSU and earned 1st Team All-New England Men’s Collegiate Singles and Doubles (1983-84, 1984-85). Arciero competed in the 1985 NCAA Division II National Tennis Championships as the first men’s tennis player in CCSU history to make the national tournament and was ranked #32 in NCAA Division II. In a decorated career, he competed in the NCAA Division I Rolex Invitational at Princeton University reaching the round of 16 in both Singles and Doubles (1984); won the New England Collegiate Conference Men’s Singles championship (1985); he was the Eastern Conference Athletic Championship Singles Runner-up (1984); and was Awarded the CCSU President’s Recognition Award for Outstanding Athletic Achievement (1985). In a 12-year coaching career, he led the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds to a 136-86 mark that included five Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association/Liberty League titles, including back-to-back championships in 2005-06. A highly-ranked player nationally, Arciero won third place at the 2012 National Over-50 Grass Court Championships.
