Baseball Sees Season End in Loss to Campbell

The Central Connecticut baseball team saw its season come to a close in a 10-5 loss to Campbell in an elimination game on Saturday at the NCAA Columbia Regional at Founders Park. The Blue Devils held the nation’s highest-scoring team at bay for over six innings before the Camels would rally for the win.

Niman Goes the Distance, Baseball Wins NEC Title Against Wagner

Northeast Conference Tournament MVP Dominic Niman tossed a complete-game and the top-seeded Central Connecticut baseball team topped second-seeded Wagner, 12-3, on  Sunday in Wappingers Falls, NY. On two days rest, Niman allowed just five hits and recorded four strikeouts in his second win of the postseason..

Baseball Advances to NEC Championship with 4-1 Win Over Sacred Heart

The top-seeded Central Connecticut baseball team eliminated fourth-seeded Sacred Heart on Saturday with a 4-1 win in the semifinals of the Northeast Conference Tournament in Wappingers Falls, NY. The Blue Devils will move on to play Wagner in the championship game on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

The top-seeded Central Connecticut baseball team forced a decisive championship game at the Northeast Conference Tournament with a 13-2 win over Wagner on  Saturday in Wappingers Falls, NY. Luke Garofalo made his first career start and allowed just six hits, while Kyle Gordon drove in four runs for the Blue Devils.

Niman, Hickey Earn Major Awards; Six Blue Devils Named All-NEC in Baseball

The Central Connecticut baseball team collected a pair of major awards and had six members earn All-Northeast Conference recognition it was announced by the league office on Tuesday on the eve of the conference championship. Dominic Niman became the first Blue Devil named Pitcher of the Year since 2003, while head coach Charlie Hickey was named the Northeast Conference Coach of the Year.

Bats Rally Baseball for 11-9 Win at LIU

The Central Connecticut baseball team overcame an early five-run deficit and scored the winning runs in the top of the ninth to down LIU, 11-9, on Saturday in Northeast Conference action in Brookville, NY. Dominic Aidan Redahan hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth to provide  the difference in the game and lift the Blue Devils to their ninth conference series win of the season.

The Central Connecticut baseball team bounced back with a 6-4 win over Bryant on Saturday in New Britain, CT. The Blue Devils pitchers struck out 13 batters, while Jimmy Sullivan and Elliot Good each drove in two runs for the offense.

The Central Connecticut baseball team swept Norfolk State in a doubleheader to open a three-game Northeast Conference series on Friday at CCSU Baseball Field. The Blue Devils won the first game, 8-4, and shut out the Spartans, 6-0, in game two. Central has won nine straight and continued its best Northeast Conference start in program history improving to 8-0 in league play.

The Central Connecticut baseball team won, 5-4 in 10 innings, at Maryland Eastern Shore to sweep the opening Northeast Conference series of the season on Sunday in Salisbury, MD.  The Blue Devils rallied from a two-run deficit, scoring a run in each of the seventh and eighth innings before plating the winning run in the top of the 10th.
