Men's Basketball Held Off by Maine on Wednesday

The Central Connecticut men's basketball was held at bay against Maine, falling 66-58 on Wednesday at Detrick Gymnasium. The Blue Devils managed to chip away at a double-digit deficit to tie the game with 10:53 to play before the Black Bears were able to regain the lead and hold on for the road victory.

The Central Connecticut men's basketball had its second half rally run out of time, falling to Lafayette, 55-50, on Saturday in Baltimore, MD. The Blue Devils trailed by as many as 19 in the second half before cutting the deficit to five late before the Leopard were able to hold on for the win.

Men's Basketball Overpowered at St. John's in Second Half on Tuesday

The Central Connecticut men's basketball was overpowered by St. John's down the stretch, falling by a 91-74 score on Tuesday night at Carnesecca Arena in Queens, NY. The Blue Devils trailed by just four points at halftime and it was a one-possession game early in the second half before the Red Storm took advantage of their size to take control of the game and pull away.

Northeast Conference Announces Men's Basketball Preseason Poll; Scantlebury Named Preseason All-NEC

The Northeast Conference held its 2022-23 Basketball Media Day on Wednesday at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The league uveiled its Preason Coaches' Poll and Preseason All-NEC Team at the event. CCSU was picked sixth in the poll, while senior Nigel Scantlebury was selected to the Preseason All-NEC Team.
