Krell Named NEC Athlete of the Week

Junior Jon Krell was named the Northeast Conference men's cross country Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.  The weekly honor is the first for the Farmington, CT, native.

Krell, a 2010 All-Conference selection, led the field at the 8K Blue Devil Invitational crossing the line first with a time of 26:32.  The Blue Devils finished second overall in the meet, their first of the season.

Krell placed first of 47 runners on the day, and won by 22 seconds, the best finish of his career. 

The Blue Devils are in action again on September 17th, heading to Monmouth.  The Blue Devils will host three more home meets this season, beginning on September 24th with the Ted Owen Invitational.
