Rodriguez Named NEC Athlete of the Week; Three Others Named Prime Performer
Central Connecticut men's cross country standout, Mark Rodriguez, was named NEC Athlete of the Week after winning the Father Bede Invitational last weekend.
Rodriguez won the men's 6K race at the Father Bede Invitational on Saturday and helped CCSU earn a sweep of the top four finishers and dominant team victory at the event. The 2024 All-NEC selection finished with a time of 18:33.8 and was the best of the Blue Devils' runners on the day.
He was joined on the Prime Performer list by Aidan Budge (2nd, 18:42.7), Joseph Lauria (4th,, 19:07.9), and Salvatore Masciarelli (3rd, 19:04.0).
The Blue Devils are off until hosting the Ted Owen Invitational on Saturday, September 20 at Stanley Quarter Park.
