Budge, Ives Earn NEC Weekly Awards
Blue Devils are four-for-four in earning NEC Athlete of the Week this season
The Central Connecticut State men's cross country team once again claimed NEC Weekley honors, with Aidan Budge earning Athlete of the Week and Steve Ives taking home Rookie of the Week honors. Both Blue Devils were named NEC Prime Performers.
Budge earned All-New England honors for his showing at the New England Championships on Friday. He finished sixth place overall at the race, in a time of 24:15.94.
Ives was the second Blue Devil across the line, running 25:18.77 to earn 35th place in the standings.
A CCSU runner has taken home NEC Athlete of the Week in each of the four weeks this season that the team has competed.
The Blue Devils are back in action on Friday, October 24th when they host the CCSU Mini Meet. Those races are held at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britian, CT.
