Bio
2022: Played 14 games with 14 starts. She scored three goals this season, two of which were game-winners, tallying six points. McLaughlin was also named to United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Players to Watch list and the 2022 MAC Hermann Trophy watch list prior to the start of the 2022 season. She was also named 1st Team All-NEC and NEC Midfielder of the Year for the fourth year in a row. She has become the third NEC Student Athlete in history to win a women’s soccer major award in four consecutive seasons.

Former Central Connecticut women’s soccer player Roma McLaughlin has signed an 18-month professional contract with Danish outfit Fortuna Hjørring.
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team had two student-athletes named to the 2022 NCAA Division I All-New England Team. The team, which was voted on by NCAA Division I coaches from colleges and universities in New England, is comprised of a First Team, Second Team and a Third Team. Each team consists of four forwards, four midfielders, four defenders and a goalkeeper.
