The first day of fall practice is just weeks away for many sports and the year's first games are right around the corner. With the new soccer complex and the expansion of Arute Field complete, fans will have the opportunity to watch CCSU events at facilities that rank among the best in New England.
The first home games of the fall will take place on August 31st, with the volleyball team hosting day one of the CCSU Invitational in Detrick Gym. That same day, the men's soccer team will host Yale in the first game on the new soccer field.
The women's soccer team will start with three games on the road before hosting Providence on September 2nd, for their home opener in the new facility.
Football will kickoff 2012 on the road at Stony Brook, September 1st, and will open the newly expanded Arute Field on September 8th. Lehigh will be the opponent for the home opener, the Blue Devils will host five home games this season, including four Northeast Conference games.
Men's and women's cross country will run at Bryant and UMass before hosting the Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park on September 22nd. The team's will also host the CCSU Mini Meet on October 19th.
The men's and women's golf teams will each be on the road for several tournaments this fall and on September 8th and 9th the men's squad will host the CCSU Invitational.
The swimming and diving team will begin competition with the Central Connecticut Diving Invitational, October 20th, and a tri-meet on October 27th.
